Part-time instructors needed at Antioch Music to provide one-on-one instruction in the in-store studios. Lessons given afternoons/evenings Mondays thru Thursdays, and Saturdays (varies).

Instructors must have at least a Bachelors Degree in a music-related discipline, and pass a reference and background check.

Pay: $150/week, plus housing ("First Come, First Served")

The Jack Benny Center for the Arts in Waukegan offers an 8-10 week internship opportunity for students pursuing a career in "Arts Management" or Recreation - Cultural Arts". The Internship offers the student the ability to work with music, theatre, dance and art programming, Summer Shows for Young Audiences, and the marketing and arts administration for the Cultural Arts Division of the Waukegan Park District. Free housing may be available on a "first come, first served" basis.

Qualifications: candidate will currently be attending college with a major in the fine arts (music / theatre / dance / visual art), arts management, arts education (visual or performing arts), recreation with an emphasis inthe arts, marketing, or will have recently graduated and is looking for additional experience before pursuing a full-time position. Candidate should be enthusiastic, punctual, dependable, organized, and willing to work with all age groups.

Sponsored by Steinway of Chicago, this annual competition offers students (maximum age: 18) valuable performance and educational opportunities as well as scholarship awards to the top eight winners. Prizes range from $1,000 to $100.

The judges for this year's competition will be Dr. Bill Phemister and Cameron Smith, both outstanding international concert pianists and music educators.
