Instructors Needed at Antioch Music: Voice, Piano, Guitar

Part-time instructors needed at Antioch Music to provide one-on-one instruction in the in-store studios. Lessons given afternoons/evenings Mondays thru Thursdays, and Saturdays (varies).

Instructors must have at least a Bachelors Degree in a music-related discipline, and pass a reference and background check.

Instructors needed at David Adler Music and Arts Center: Guitar and Suzuki Violin

David Adler Music and Arts Center is now accepting applications for Suzuki violin instructor and guitar instructor. Candidate must have teaching and performing experience in a variety of situations and possess at least a bachelor's degree in music performance or education. Big Band Sound of Deerfield, conducted by Bob Gand, has openings for trombone players. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings at Deerfield High School. The band is sponsored by the Deerfield Park District. The repertoire includes big band, swing, jazz, Latin and rock arrangements. No auditions required. Call (847) 446-9496.

North Suburban Symphony (NSS): An established community volunteer orchestra of about 60 members performing out of the Gorton Auditorium in Lake Forest.

Current needs are: All Strings, Bassoon, and Trombone.

The NSS rehearsals are Thursday evenings, beginning at 7:30PM. Musicians interested in prospective membership please contact NSS President Marc Needlman at 847-948-8996 or NSS Conductor Ron Arden at 847-746-3472 for more information.
Deerfield Community Concert Band has openings for all types of percussion, trombones, bass clarinet and baritone sax. All other players are welcome and no audition is required. The band is led by Ken Bartosz and rehearses at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Deerfield High School band room. Call Mary Ann Du Four, (847) 680-7687.
Lakes Area Community Band (LACB): This 44-member band is seeking new members.

All area musicians in high school and older are welcome; opportunities available for all band instruments. Auditions are NOT required.
