(May 05, 2008) VHHS Music Wins State! Congratulations to the Vernon Hills High School Music Department, which was awarded its second consecutive IHSA State Championship! Determined by scores from two competitions - the Solo and Ensemble Contest in March and the Band, Choir & Orchestra Contest in April, VHHS had a total of 966 points in Class A competition, (111 points ahead of second place), setting a new record for VHHS.

(May 03, 2008) The Lake County location of Christian Youth Theatre (CYT) presents a fully staged, ASCAP award-winning contemporary version of Alice in Wonderland, based on works by Lewis Carroll.
